DreamPlug: Linux Kernel and U-Boot News

I got some new information about the DreamPlug:

  • There is a working patch for the vanilla Linux kernel. Unfortunately upstream is not accepting the patch, because it isn’t using the flattened device tree. The bigger problem seeems to be that there is no support for FDT for the marvell plattform right now. In the meantime you can either apply the patch manually or use the config option for the GuruPlug reference board. Linux 3.0 is running fine on my DreamPlug.

  • The source code of the factory u-boot is available. Now it can be integrated into the main u-boot source. Both u-boot and openocd do not support the SPI flash interface currently.
Sources: RFC: Dreamplug support, [PATCH RFC] drivers/rtc: add Marvell Integrated RTC.
